Who we are
Shine Bright Pediatrics is a small pediatric practice in Aloha, Oregon. We are centrally located and mainly serve children and families in Aloha, Beaverton and Hillsboro area. But some families travel from more distant locations.
It sounds as a new practice in the area, and to some extent it is. I am a new pediatrician at this location but my clinic is located within Aloha Pediatric Clinic that was founded by Dr. Lubischer who served pediatric patients for over 30 years! After many years of providing personalized patient care Dr. Lubischer has retired and I am honored to take his place.
The clinic building is located on a quiet street, and if not for a sign upfront you would think it is just a house. It is easy to find, easily accessible, with plentiful parking. At the same time it is only a block away from TV Highway which connects you to surrounding neighborhoods.
However, the main difference you find is inside. It is in the style of practice and the vision of what medical care should be.
Introducing Dr. Scott
Dr. Scott is a practicing physician here in Northern Oregon and while not a local born Oregonian, she has staked her roots in the Willamette Valley and made it her home. Being originally born and raised in Tallinn Estonia, she has close roots to her culture and heritage while adapting to the new ones in the area. She studied in the largest university in Estonia, Tartu University, and has since been practicing medicine for over a decade.
As a first generation graduate, she made large strides in both her education and reputation being a sought after physician that many have loved and adored. Originally practicing in Willamette Family Medical Center, she grew to love her patients but not the ideology behind it. She has since developed her own personal philosophy surrounding medicine with a focus on becoming close and spending optimal time with her patients. While not a traditional and applied method in most practices, she has found that it not only benefits her patients, it helps her as a physician to grow and excel.
Since moving to Salem Oregon, she has settled down with her two kids and husband as well as three adorable pets. Shiro, Apple, and Peaches have all kept her company while her garden has flourished over the years. She has adopted a skill in baking creating some beautiful loaves as well as finding a hobby in staying sustainable with her own garden.
I strive to provide a different type of experience when it comes to medical care.
I believe that good medical care is based on a close relationship between patient, family and physician.
I believe that your child’s health will be better if you know your pediatrician, have enough time to have your questions answered, and do not feel rushed during visit.
My idea of creating this practice came from an idealistic vision in that I want to spend time with my patients, to be able to learn who my patients and their families are, and to have sufficient time to listen to their concerns, provide reassurance, or explain my recommendations.
At Shine Bright Pediatrics you will get to see the same doctor, visit after visit. Despite what you commonly see or experience, this continuity of care is very important for both patients and doctors. I may have a lot of questions for you the first time we meet but that makes future visits easier for both of us.
Longer appointment times give us a chance to discuss what is happening with a child beyond just presenting symptoms. While there is a definitely a place and time for quick visits, such as the hospital and emergency clinics, here we focus on taking the necessary time to understand both the needs of the child and the parent.
After a visit I want to see parents go home empowered with knowledge about their child’s health, development, and strengths. As a parent, you have all the power to see your child shine bright! And I will be honored to be your pediatrician and help with any medical and development related questions along the way!
